News Herald: Gulf Coast Jam: Gear up for ‘Country on the Coast’

The sixth annual Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam returns Labor Day Weekend with 30 artists playing ‘Country on the Coast’ over three days on two stages.

Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam returns to Frank Brown Park on Friday, Aug. 31, through Sunday, Sept. 2. Gates open at 2 p.m. daily with the first band going on at 2:30 p.m. each day and headline acts playing at 10:15 p.m. On Friday, Aug. 31, headliner Florida Georgia Line performs on the Pepsi Stage, followed by Eric Church on Saturday, Sept. 1, and Thomas Rhett on Sunday, Sept. 2.

The Pepsi Southern Original Winner will open Sunday’s lineup headlined by Thomas Rhett on the main stage. The winner will be determined Thursday, Aug. 30, when the top nine finalists compete for the title at Ms. Newby’s; voted on by a panel of judges led by Gulf Coast Jam Executive Producer Rendy Lovelady. The Pepsi Southern Original finalists include: Noah Garner, “Is It Raining Where You Are”; Christon Birge, “Tacos”; Frank Ray, “Tequila Mockingbird”; Matt Bennett, “Love and Our Stereo”; Ben Moseley, “Hangin’ Up”; Double Wide, “Red Wine”; Jaryd Lane, “Pretty Little Rebel”; Bailey James, “Run Girl”; and the Allman Goldflies Band, “Standing in the Georgia Rain.”
