Country Music Life: Review: Delirious by Christon Birge

Christon Birge is new to us here at CML. Usually when I get these songs and artists for the first time I’ll check out their social media accounts. You can kind of get a feel for someone even from the profile pic they have on their accounts.

At first glance, Christon looks like the kind of guy that has a traditional side when it comes to his music.

Now, I like all kinds of country music, but I definitely lean toward the traditional side of country. Or at least I lean toward the style I grew up with in the late ’80s and early ’90s.

Anyway, let’s check out this new single from Christon that is out for 2017.

You know the first thing I want to bring up is the fact that with this song I feel the lyrics and simply vocal melodies come through the most.

The instrumentation isn’t too loud to drown things out. You’re pulled in by the words and the emotion in the vocals. The music in the background simply enhances those qualities and kind of pulls the whole thing together.

You know on the surface this is could come across as a simple country love song. It’s not a fast mover. It’s more laid back and chill, but Christon’s performance is unique. He has something in his voice that is different, but you still like it when you listen.

There is a lot to like with this song.

Christon is still an independent artist it appears. Maybe this song will help him get some more attention.
